How to be Slim and Trim ?
The mushrooming of health clubs and gyms is an indication that millions are spending millions on reducing weight. Yet the benefits are limited as well as temporary. Obesity is not only a social stigma, it is unhealthy as well. It could lead to various diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiac arrests, strokes etc. To cure obesity we need to look into its causes. The two main ones are unhealthy food and lack of exercises. Other contributing factors are habitual consumption of cold soft drinks, excessive consumption of alcohol, excessive consumption of water, hormonal medicines, oral contraceptives etc., A salt free diet can significantly help in weight reduction. Cleaning the gastro intestinal tract with saline water (Vomitting, colon cleaning and enema therapies) can produce faster results. Drinking a glass of warm water with two spoons of honey mixed with the juice of half a lime, in the morning helps to melt fat. Exercises must include forward bending, backward bending, twisting to the left and twisting to the right. Remember we do not become obese overnight. Therefore weight reduction also cannot happen overnight. It is a process and hence weight is to be checked only once in a week. The four pillars of healthy eating habits are: 1. Prefer uncooked food to cooked food 2. Eat only when you are hungry 3. Masticate the food thoroughly till it becomes pulpy 4. Avoid reading, talking, watching TV and thinking negative thoughts while eating and focus your entire attention on eating. |
