Our
brain is divided into two hemispheres and each side
handles specific functions.
Left brain dominants excel in academics and research.
They are judgmental, rigid and insensitive. They are
perfectionists. They avoid taking risks. Right brain
dominants excel in music, arts and crafts. They are
creative, emotional and flexible. They are easy going.
They are impulsive risk takers.
Though brain dominance
is inborn, it is possible to develop the skills of the
less dominant hemisphere and thereby perform at peak
levels.
Knowing whether one is left dominant or right dominant
can help in choosing the right profession, improving
relationships with people, enhancing efficiency levels
in various skills, solving problems with creative ideas,
differentiating between calculated risks and reckless
risks and developing the wisdom to know what can be
changed and what can't be changed.
