Hair
is considered as a product of bone formation. Hence
the same nutrition that is required for bone formation
is required for hair growth as well. In fact healthy
hair is an indication of healthy bones.
The three important minerals essential for bones are
calcium, magnesium and zinc. Two tablespoonfuls of raw
sesame seeds supplies us about 1200 mg of calcium, enough
for a day.. One ripe banana supplies 75mg of magnesium
and a handful of raw nuts supplies us with 5mg of zinc.
As an external application, the scalp can be massaged
with Neelibhringadi oil.
Applying shampoo or soap is to be strictly avoided.
Two egg whites can be used to wash oily hair.
Hot water bath is also to be strictly avoided. While
drying hair, always use normal or cool options on the
hair dryer.
For regular application, use edible coconut oil or sesame
oil with brahmi (Indian pennywort) or amla (Indian gooseberry).
For dandruff, mix two teaspoons of neem oil with four
teaspoons of sesame oil and gently massage the scalp.
Let it stay for half an hour and then wash your hair
with neem soap. Dandruff will disappear in a couple
of days
